Blitz Helicopters Avro 90 > Clutch Engaged

Anyone had a problem with the clutch staying engaged? When I was building the heli, the clutch was free. But from the first time I started the motor to now, with almost one gallon of fuel through it, I have to keep the idle higher to keep it running.

It should 'bed' in after a few gallons

Mine has had nearly 5 gallons through it now, and it's only on the last gallon that I've been able to drop the idle down, without it trying to spin the head

Be patient and it will free up very nicely

I was thinking that might be the case or Idle to Rich.

Mine engages at a low RPM so I have found that it needs a really low idle if you do not want the blades to spin at all. I spent a tank of fuel working on the low and mid settings so I could get the lowest idle possible. Also putting some fuel thru the heli seemed to help too (I am on gallon #5)

Thanks!!

I found that the engine (YS91SR) didn't really settle down, until about the 3rd gallon had gone thru it

Heard from very experienced pilots, that the big YS takes approx 4 gallons to bed in, and start running at it's optimum
