Align T-REX 600N 700N > Plea to Canopy makers for an improved Trex 700 canopy

The problem with that is the Trex will cost almost the same and just not have the look of an italian super car

Um, I don't think so. With a kit price around $799.00 and parts that will be about half the price of any other 90, the 700N will be SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper to own than any other 90 I can think of. They'll sell boatloads of them if the 600N is anything to go by.

No offence but for me by the time i buy a 250 dollar canopy to make it look better it is about the same but i do hope that it does end up being a cheaper option and i am sure it will fly good that will give a lot more people the chance to experience a 90 and until you have you just dont know that being said i love them all if it has rotor blades i am all about it

A paint job is one thing, but the sleekness of a canopy is another. Right now it sorta resembles a big nose. I'm sure it will get better, or we'll just have to live with it.

Until it does, I'm not getting one.Everyone speaks of just putting on another canopy to end the bickering but that will boast up the price. At that point, I might as well get one that already looks good like the Advant, or N9.. or N9... or N9.

It's settled then, a 700N is for real fliers only who judge a heli by its flying characteristics, blingers and status ego builders need not apply

BTW, bigger canopy = more weight (or more flimsy to keep weight the same as the smaller one) = lesser flying performance. Again this heli is for real fliers not lookie loos

If you're buying heli's because of looks then buy your Synergy or Avant etc.

If, like me, it's more about price/performance and parts availability and again price. Then I'll but the 700N! The canopy can always be repainted and visual tricks can alter the appearance of the canopy!

To me it just looks like a larger version of all their other canopies in shape. Looks Good IMHO. Put a good paint job on it and its good to go.

You know not more than a 18-24 mounts ago no ones canopies came painted at all. No one bitc..ed about it. Now before the heli is even out some guy's complain about paint jobs on canopies.
Perhaps they should buy something else and paint it them selves.

I don't think it's the paintjob as much as the shape of the canopy itself many are complaining about. I like the paintjob, but I hate the shape.

That's not what they had at San Diego. You should have seen it dude, wasn't the best canopy by a long shot...

I like what sam2b said - looks like a big nose stuck on the heli!!!

jagnz, the difference is that the price of a italian super car can buy your 10 jap sedans...but of course, their performance are totally different, unlike this case, where the 700n MIGHT be comparable to the other 90's, in terms of quality and performance. At $799, I will probably get one too, but that is after align fans do the "beta testing" because if its anything like the initial release of the 600n, the 700n with those upgrade fixes will cost about the same as a stratus or a synergy. It will probably cost way less to fix after a crash, but until the part price list are out...in any case, I don't think crashing a 90size often is an option, unless anyone has got deep pocket.

laddy, like what everyone said, its not the paint, its the SHAPE. When the old raptor 30v1 first came out, lots of people bitched about that canopy too, same goes for the caliber 30...so even in the past, flyers do complain about the canopy..

If that really is it, it isn't so bad. Ok, it's not incredible but it will do. At least you'll be able to get a kit.
