| Well, any time you can reduce "frontal area" or "wetted area", your going to get more momentum in forward flight, hence retain energy in vertical maneuvers etc..... For instance, why the hole in the bottom?
They did that for battery cooling on the 600, but left on the 600N and now the 700. Cooling for the engine maybe? the shroud covers that. It seems to me that hole is a lot of drag. They should narrow it up as much as they can, even if they have to make a bump to facilitate the main gear, extend the nose a little and make it more pointed. Something tells me that are all ready in production however.
