is it normal to run the high end needle only out 3/4 to 1 turn? Thanks

If thats were it runs at, though that would normally indicate low nitro. What fuel are you running?

Like BH says, low nitro, and/or high muffler pressure will do it also. What muffler are you running?

hyperrunning 25 nitro and I think it is a tt muffler I bought it used. I used different mufflers and all worked about the same.

I was also wondering if my settings were correct, 1 1/4- 1 1/2 turns out with Align pipe and 30%?

I checked my setting recently, and mine is 1 1/2 (pretty close) with 30%, but I have a relatively large muffler with a larger tan average exit.

is it running hot? Does it sound like its lean? If it isn't, then there is no need to get too worried about it. The hyper doesn't exactly get warm with a ok needle setting if you are just hovering or flying around with an average headspeed. The temp only goes up when you put it to idle up and put it through its pace.
My needle was around 1.25-1.3turms out when I was on cp20% and the tt muffler. Didn't make much power compared to the hatori522 I usually run, but it already was pretty warm after a flight.
