We all know he has the skill. I was talking about what he chooses to fly.

Money Talk and Bull$hit walks. I doubt there is much more to it than that.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Align pays these top notch pilots not for R&D and Testing, but to spark hype. I personally know for a fact that these pilots were having problems with the one-way bearing issues with the 600n, but yet they kept quiet and Align kept shoveling it and shoveling until they made enough $$$, then release the fix. It's called giving the consumer a band aid for an eyepatch.

I would have to call that BS. Alan and Jason flew the 600N for weeks while testing and never had a one way bearing go bad. Alan still is running the orginal bearin in his Trex 600N with no problems. No I have had one that locked up, but staing that you know for a fact is wrong. Get your facts stright.

Ok, I'll play along... So, how do you know this for a fact?

Ultimately, who cares what Alan flys?

I know this for a FACT because
1) I live in Las Vegas
2) I was at the William Bennett Field
3) Sponsored pilot was there at William Bennett Field
4) I had problems with my OEM main gear bearing locking up
5) I ask sponsored pilot if he/she was having the same problems, and he said something to this effect: Yea it's locked up,but I don't really even bother with it anymore.
6) This happened 3-4 months after the 600n came out.

I think the bearing falls into the some have a problem and some don't catagory. My 600 is an early kit. It now has hundreds of flights on it with the original stock bearing.

Well I have a friend who just purchased a new kit that included the updates including the swash and his oneway has already locked up. Less than 2-3 gallons on the heli. Sure glad they fixed that issue.

The bottom line is some bearings were good, and some were not-so-good. What we should do is move on and get a new bearing instead of writing off the entire heli. i.e. I chose a Boca bearing for a one-way after four Align bearings locked up, and have been very happy since. I love the Trex regardless.

Unfortunetly this is exactly why companies like Align and TT keep putting these inferior bearings in the kits and pretend they don't know. Mine (600N) locked on the 2nd flight...luckily it has not since.

My TT Raptor 90 locked on the first flight, my friend has gone through 3, me 2, another guy at the fields locked up. I was at a funfly and asked the TT rep, have you had this problem "O NO, we have NEVER heard of this problem." BS all the way.

The guy at the field called TT and they told him the same BS, they never heard of it...yet they keep sending replacements????

Unfortunetly the energy and time it takes for us to bi*ch is much more than just buying the better bearing from Boca, Quick UK, etc.

The bottom line is fix the freaking problem.

The vid of Alan flying the 700N looks good!! But IMHO so did the vids of him flying the Avant Aurora, the TREX 500, the TREX 600N, the 600E, the TREX 450, and even the (as some people put it) old outdated Raptor 90 basic with some SE parts on it (Sunday at the lake video). Alan can fly anything and make it look good

As far as the one ways locking up, good bearing are expensive and add quickly to the price of a kit. You get what you pay for!!

Guys I’ve been reading post's with people having problems with their one way bearing locking up.When I started flying it was with the v-1 Raptor 30.I didn’t have any problems until they came out with the v-1 50 conversion. Then I started having problems with clutch and the one way bearing.

I tried every thing with the one way and finally I started running it dry. Problem solved. The 90 was the same way. I know the instructions tell you to grease it when I bought my first 600 I ran it dry just like the Raptors.5 months so far so good. I’m not trying to tell anyone what they should do. This is what worked for me.

Same here. Been flying helis for five years, never greased the one way bearing and never had it lock up or have had any other problem with them either.
