e-E-Sky Honey Bee- Lama- Belt CP- E-Smart > Sick of tracking problem!

Blade after blade, different combos of placing the thrust bearings, replaced both blade grips. Borrowed dampners, swash, washout and thrust bearings, regular bearing (basically beltCP parts) from blade 400 and still unable to track any blades.

I think problem is in the center hub spindle thing. When I crash, my spindle didn't bent but both of the blades exploded, may be it took all the damage. But I look at it closer and doesn't seem to be broken at all.

heh, put the CP2 back together, assembled the head and replaced all broken parts, pitch it, track it and flew it perfect. Very simple helicopter. Gotta get more of those direct drive tail motors.

It can get frustrating sometimes Zaw. Take a deep breath - fly the CP2 a bit and go back to the King with a fresher outlook

Center hub would be good to try. But also all of the links including little ones that connect to the blade grips. Grab the blades and twist them toward and away from each other. Is there any movement? If so, where? What about the flybar holder? It has two little tabs that go into the hub. If one breaks off, tracking will be a mess.

If you do decide to replace the center hub, consider converting over to the Belt CP head.

Everything on the Washout and up are new. Only things that are not are thrust bearings, that head piece and I have completely replaced the flybar cage, seasaw and all the arm. flybars are level and balanced.

Swash and washouts are out of blade 400.

I know something simple that causing it. I don't really want to spend too much money on it fixing it either. Just adding belt cp head parts together and its very close buying a ARF belt cp.

I'm looking to get only Headset of blet cp and its blade grips. hopefully everything else will fit.

Belt CP Plastic Head
Blade Grips $7.00
Ball Control Arm $7.00
Flybar Case Set $7.00
Flybar Paddle $5.50
Main Blade Housing (hub) $7.00
Washout $8.50
Swash $10.25
Total $52.25

Alot cheaper than entire kit, or the CNC head. But for that price it might be worth it to try the CopterX head.

I was actually looking at the compterx head today. I was actually comparing the king cnc head to the copterx and it is not much more if you look at the HK replica king head. Sometime I might just pick one up for fun.

If I had to do it all over again Id buy the copterX I love the seesaw flybar paddle design. It really simplifies setup over trying to line up the Esky flybar holders.

This is the one?

it work with stock main shaft and gears? Looks like metal version of Align/Blade400 head system.

Ya know I felt some loyalty to the purple and felt it would some how be wrong to put blue on the head. Kind of disrespectful to the brand. Now that I have the purple head, I think the CopterX head would be a better way to go. Proper flybar cage, larger ball links that are less prone to slop over time, replacement parts at the LHS, blade grip that fit the Align blades without spacers.

Honestly, I'd guess the MicroHeli swash has a better bearing than the Purple one.

Back in the day Zaw, I put a copterX head on my King and was probably considered a trader by some, but I can tell you ALL tracking issues disappeard and the quality was excellent. The Micro heli swashplate is a very high quality swashplate, I'm currently using one on my CP2 and there is zero slop. Here is a VID of the copterX head on the King2 with a TREX canopy.

Nice!
I did pretty much everything with everything I got in tool box to solve the problem. After having a lots of heli my tool box is loaded with bearings/washers and screws that you will ever need.

Got the blade grips really tight and worked good for one battery then blades started to split on next pack. I was so piss off that I almost fly that thing into the woods! Plus pitch don't response with spindle being too tight, at one point it won't descend I had to idle up to bring it down.

I have friend's Blade400(BeltCP clone) use the same shaft but it needs a main gear so its down. Figure I put its head on the King, sure enough it work. even the blades fit perfect.

I just eyeballed the pitch setting at 50% pitch. Change the swash setting to + king use '-' it lifts off, blades were off tracking a little bit. 1/2 turn on lower one and they were tracked! and flew good packs after packs. Even more responsive then Esky head setup!

Only thing I worry about copterX head is not not being able to use Esky blades, which I got boat load of. I got like 8 pairs ( found a guy on ebay(HK) for like $5 each with no combine shipping)

I might get copterX head probably if I get my incentive deposited! If doug said its good I must be good.
My ssn end with 99 so I might have to wait. For now Blade400 head is working great!

Why couldn't you use ESky blades?

I put a blue MH Swash on my HBK2 (replaced purple esky swash), along with MH washout assy. Instant smoothness and have not had to alter the tracking since.

Blade400 swash plus washout with esky head, tracking problemes. with blade 400 head problem went away. Esky swash and washout and blade 400 head no tracking problem either. Problem is above the washout.

I'm just wonder if esky blades will fit in CopterX head. Or should I go for Blade 400 head setup. parts are easier to get on that.

I just noticed something yesterday while trying to pinpoint the slop in my purple head. The balls Esky put in the purple head are all aluminum. Mine already worn down to the point that a brand new ball link was loose on them and had some play. I had some B400 balls in stock and put those in the top half. The B400 balls are stainless steel. I need to get the B400 balls with the stand offs to do the bottom half. Just doing the top half helped the smoothness and tracking issues quite a bit.
