Good Day,
Im using the tail controlwire supplied with my Vairo benzin Huey. Its epoxied in place. Im using two 97/9 (screw fitting pushrod connectors) One on each end, red threadlock on the nuts, they both swivel as I read to do in the Vario catolog. My problem is when I tighten the screw it dont grab the contol wire enough and the wire is still a little loose. If I was to try and fly it like that I would loose the tail. I even put a small flat on the control wire but still wont grab. Should I just use a longer screw as it looks like the ones supplied are to short. If Im doing something wrong here please tell me as Im trying to get my electrified Huey ready for a test hover.

Well it looks like you could just use a longer screw,, but I'm no Scale builder, and not familiar with this set up,, Maybe someone else with better experience will chime in,, Good luck,, XGM/VGM

P.S.,, I have never been a fan of that setup,, unless it's on a throttle servo,, IMHO

Well some of the guys from the other scale website said to use a longer screw. I will do that. I dont like this set-up but I was told that they have their scale ships with the same set-up without problems. Its something that will have to be checked often.

I've got the same set up on my Huey and another ship. If you go ahead and fit a longer screw you'll be fine. Two plus years and no problems.

Another thing you can do is get a Dubro threaded end that can be soldered on and do a ball link set up. If you go this route make sure you solder a good strong joint.
