One of the female ends on the Gryo is for its power supply, they used to do it that way years ago, then the other is for your rudder servo to plug into,, and the black male end comming from the gyro gain box, goes to your rudder on the reciever, and the tan one goes into channle 5 so you can have 2 differant setting on the gryo,, OR vice versa,,,,,, You cant blow anything up,, hook a battery to one of the leads comming from the gyro, then hook the servo to the other,, then put the black male into your reciever in rudder, and the tan one into the gear swithch, if is doesnt work, swithch the battery and servo plugs comming off the gyro its self, and it will work,, Hope this helps.. Well you could splice the power for the gyro into your power for the the heli, if you wanted,,, I'm just trying to help you get it figured out, and see if it is working.... Get a Y harness and use that to splice the two together,, hope this helps,, Good luck,, and take a DEEP BREATH,,,, Your ok,, just stop and think it out,,, XGM/VGM

This is exactly why I advised him to wait for buying even an inexpensive piezo. Its not that I don't remember how to use and hook them up, but he is a noob(no insult whatsoever to you guy).

These things can be overwhelming at first and while they are nothing to us(yes, as I indicated, I am from the old styles also), to a newbie, they are out in the strato... Even with instructions... He doesn't even know the model number to be exact(once again, nothing against you at all, because you have what you have and to be honest, I have been there and learned that it was better to just wait than to put a good grand in the air when your not 100% about it).

You want your first experience to be a good and "somewhat" relaxing one. That was my goal of saying that.

I do hope whatever you decide it works out for you.

Man.... I had no idea what an addiction this was going to be.....

Gyro

Hello Nitro Hawk1: You have an old JR 100 or 110 mechanical gyro. They look and operate exactly the same. They were good gyro's in their day but do not compare to today's modern gyros: however, this is what I learned on. I have the instructions for the 110. If you would like a copy, let me know and I will send one. Send me an email at grakich@yahoo.com to let me know. Thanks!

OK, this is good! The last drawing you gave explained what we are looking at in much better detail. The gyro resembles a JMW but I'm not sure that's what it is and it really doesn't matter. I think you need to take the black female connector and plug it into the tail rotor channel on your receiver. Take the white female connector and either plug it into an aux channel for changing rate sensitivity or leave it unplugged if you don't care to have dual sensitivity. Once you have all this plugged in then take the tail rotor servo and plug it into one of the two male connectors and turn the whole system on. Once it's all on rotate the gyro and see if the tail rotor servo moves. If it doesn't move then unplug it and plug it into the other connector and see if it works then. Let us know what results you get.

Maybe you should put it away untill you grow up some before you hurt someone with it having that kind of attitude. Listen to these guys offeing you the help they are a bunch of good guys that have been around a while. If you dont have paitence this is not the hobby for you. This is not a slam but a fact that I am seeing. Calm down take a deep breath and relax.

well. here i sit . got to show my van today at 10 am hopefully it sells so i can go and get a gy401. hopefully. as for the other gyro i guess it is a collectors item. wanted to get a jr gyro but man alive they are bloody expensive. havent seen any good reports on thoes either . i have seen many awesome reports on the futaba gy401 so that will be my gyro. and the comment as to growing up , well lets just say i am not new to the rc hobby side of things. however i am new to nitro side of heli's. had many heli's in past . fp's cp's then went and traded my walkera 60 for this century hawk sport. i also have had multiple aircrafts, and trucks, still have my boat. so ya i aint new what so ever.
thanks guys and will report back when i get a gyro.

May the force be with you(and your van...LOL)! Your making a good decision(IMHO) to go for a more up to date gyro. I think you will find it very easy to setup and use...

Good flying to you...

And this excuses your tantrum?? I think not. Your attitude if I dont get it going I am going to go outside and fire it up and take off wide open real mature. Not to mention real unsafe and childish. I been in the hobby for over 40 years so what big deal it dont make a person any more mature or inmature. Your attitude like you have posted here with that statement shows your not mature at all.

gyro

hey Mutt. i may be a lil hott headed at times yes. and with this i get really peeved off at the lack of having something and not being able to fly it or use it. it just sits there and collects dust. maybe you dont understand this concept. but for some we aint as rich as what most are for this hobby and cant afford things that are new and such . we have to sell other things or trade barter and swap like i am doin and have done in the past with all my aircrafts and trucks just to get what one wants or needs for something else. and then most people in this hobby try to help yes but with someone as hott headed as i am i have too see what is what on paper or hands on, seems to me there are people that are willing to help a fellow out as hott headed as i am, and then there are others that are just jackass's to us people that dont have the money to do anything with. i for one am in that catagory of people that dont have much money to throw at this hobby and make due with what i can get or trade barter and swap. or like one individual did he donated the gyro in question, mighty nice of him and for this he asks that i buy him timmies when we meet. another one siad he was goin to donate a gy 240 that never happened cause of financial status on both ends. now i am selling my van of all things just to pay bills and buy a gyro. so how am i imature? alot of people have helped cool my ass down on flying without a gyro and have calmed my ass on destroying this bird. so lay off......

Ok.. try this.... one of the females is the rudder, the other is the gain. The two male ends.. One goes to the servo.. one goes to the battery pack. The receive should power through the rudder channel, that is the reason for the on/off switch.

600N, EVO 50, Caliber 5, Beam 450, and comming soon TREX 9000 :)
