Heliproz finally has them in stock so I bought one today. UPS is reporting that the box is 39 pounds!! Is that accurate? Why so much?

Here is what I plan to use:
Futaba 9 CH PCM
ATG v3
OS 50 hyper w/ CY MP2
Solid G w/9254
(3)9252 on swash
3151 on throttle
V-Blades

I'm not sure about the battery. I may keep it simple and go with a 4 cell 4200 mah sub-c?

I would say 12 to 13 tops!
I hope they sent it for free.. Don't they have a offer for anything over $100 purchase shipping is free?? Yep they do here's the link!

For large packages UPS uses "dimensional shipping weight" so odds are the actual weight is not 39lbs that's just the shipping weight Heliproz had to pay for.

I was begining to wonder if they threw in a couple extra goodies!! The free shipping takes about 10 days to get to NY. The scheduled delivery date is 5/19. I don't know how I am going to wait that long.

Does anyone know how the Vibe 50 compares to the Evo 50? I already have an Evo and I'd be curious to know how they compare.

You'll actually see some similarities, the paddles are identical for one. The Vibe uses stacked frames so its a bit different from putting together the molded frame, make sure you have everything square on a sheet of glass before you tighten things down.

Thanks for all of the replies guys! From what I have been reading the Vibe is going to be a great addition to the fleet. I'm usually able to get a heli assembled pretty quickly but we just had twins so my time is now divided.

Oh boy do I know what that is. I have a 2 year old kid and lets say that when he was born, flying or even tinkering on my machines suffered ALOT!

So, I have been trolling the vibe 50 threads and it looks like almost everyone is using JR 8717's on the swash. I know it's a great servo but are they really needed for most flyers? Am I underpowering mine with 9252's? I have them on my Evo 50 and they work great.

8717s are nice but I would have happily used 9452s (I actually had them on order) had other circumstances not intervened.

9252 will do fine unless you're doing insane 3D or parkinson type of moves.

Save the money for fuel.

No big deal

I had the same thing happen to me and it is about 13lbs. It said 36lbs and I was like wow what is in there. It is just a guesstimates they use and means nothing. it just tells you that is what the shipper said it was to cover his but in case it weighs more he dose not get charged more and you do not get you package until it goes back and forth. They say that to cover the shipping so if you put 13lbs and it came out to 13 and 1/2 when UPS weighs it. they will send it back and not ship it to you. so no worry it is what it is and it will be OK. Good luck
