I'm running the Scorpion -6V2 in my beam with a 10 tooth pinion and to me the gears sound loud. Is it because of the low tooth count effecting the mesh?
When I ran a 430L on 13 teetch, it sounded quieter.
Gear mesh is set correctly. The pinion is a Blade 400 pinion (10T, 0.5M)which was drilled out to fit on the Scorpion shaft. When I put the canopy on it is clearly louder since it seems to be amplified (resonating) by the canopy.

Anyone else experience this on a 10T pinion?

I used the 6 V2 and it didn't seem exceptionally loud on my Beam.

I find that a larger pinion gear makes the heli run quieter. So if the noise is just loudness and nothing abnormal, I think its just because of the small pinion.
