I don't think even the smallest one in that kit will fit the grub screw in your tail. If you can, try cutting a small straight slot in the screw with a dremel cut off wheel. Good luck.

If its all metal parts, try heating the set screw with the small tip of a soldering iron to get the locktite to soften up. It should work.

that works, if the screw isnt already to far gone, and also be very carefull to not melt the plastic.

If its an allen screw that is damaged try to start with your allen driver grind down a 1/8 or 1/16 of an inch off your allen driver so to so the end is nice and fresh or square then heat it till its cherry red stick it in the screw so it heats the the screw up for about thirty seconds then try to back it out

Here is the set you want...Craftman Drill Out.

I bought this set a couple of weeks ago to remove a stripped set screw on my start shaft adapter and worked exceptionally well. The smallest (3mm) is so small it was too small for the set screw and I had to use the 4 mm size. Not a cheap set, but one I'm really happy to have in my bag of goodies.

Have a look for a grub screw hole in the end of the shaft. Some manufacturers use a grub screw in the shaft to hold the pin in the gear/shaft.
