Yep, I'm getting my stuff together to actually take my heli out for her first hover--by me, anyway.

Got any last minute tips?

Wish me luck!!!

Or is that bad luck to ask for good luck????

It would probably be prudent if you got a spotter/experience flyer with you, there are many things that can be overlooked by a 1st time flyer that an experienced flyer can catch and prevent a problem.

Preflight check, Preflight check,Preflight check.

valum for when you finish flying

Have a friend video tape you on your inaugural flight!

And do have fun!

Good Luck and have a ball, it only gets better and watch out its addictive. You will find out as you go, you will want bigger and faster machines.

Best advise I can give is, to land with the skids down.

SUCCESS!

Got off the ground, landed, did some hovering and eventually learned how to go right instead of left!

Did some take-offs from the grass, and some from asphalt. The asphalt was easier to ski landing gear across and I got much more comfortable with my second and third battery packs.

I can't say I hovered really, and I was told I still suck. LOL But that it was to be expected. LOL

I know I have lots of work to do. The first battery pack I was really stressed out. But got a bit more comfortable as I went on.

I think at one time I got about 1 to 1.5 feet off the ground and a darn near $hit myself! But it was fun.

Best of all NO CRASHING. Kind of hard to crash when you really dont' leave the ground!

As long as it was fun that is great, and no crashes, that awsome. Usually when I go out and come back without crashing, I order up a small crash repair part to reward myself. After a few good days, I usually have enough parts so when the bad day comes, it don't hurt all at once so bad.

Oh I definately had FUN! That was first and foremost. If ya can't have fun doing THIS why do it, ya know?!

Hopefully I didn't stress out my "teacher" to badly.
