Thunder Tiger Raptors 30-90 - Imperio > RAPTOR 90 RAPTOR 60 QUESTIONS

Hi all,
I just bought a raptor 60 v2 from someone here on runryder with an os 70, hitec servos (digital high torque, similar to futaba 9252's but can't remember the specification) and mavvrik 680's (g4 i think) I previously flew a sceadu 50 evo and enjoy it. Anything i should know about the raptor 60? Any typical failure modes? Dislikes for certain maneuvers, things to watch out for?
Thanks,
Matt

1. Keep the tail rotor off the ground, the tail gears do not like it.
2. It will "feel" heavier than a 50, but it will have the prescence in the air of a bigger machine.
3. To get "close" to the snapiness of a 50, you might want to change the black paddles for the red lightweight paddles.
4. The raptors tend to pitch up or down depending on the alignment of your paddles and the airspeed. Keep the high-speed low passes until you feel confortable with the way it handles.

I recently finished converting my 60V2 to a 90 full of 90 3D parts. And I love it even more than when it was powered by the OS 70.

DO exactly what HeliNelly said. I lost mine that way too. So did a friend .

Don't even think of flying it until you cover those pins.

THAT is the Achilles heel of this helicopter.

Don`t forget there is a set screw that goes in the end of the shaft I grind a flat spot on the pin for the set screw to hold it better.

Thanks a lot guys, this kind of problem was exactly the type i was hoping to find out about when i started the topic. Thanks for saving my heli in advance, when i do my full teardown and rebuild i will definitely take care of this "achilles heel"

Sorry, I forgot that pin. But to tell you the truth, I've never had a single problem with that pin. As soon as a read the warnings, I put a "slice" of shrink tubbing over the gear and forgot about it.

Now on my 50, Without the shrink tubbing, the pin came out and almost cut thru the tail housing. I grinded flat spots on all the pins, and I have not had the same problem again.
