That looks like it is actually the bearing for a 61 .

Looks like MTA Hobbies should get the numptey award for this!

I wonder how many have ordered that bearing and had a spot of bother trying to make it fit?

I just aquired an OS 70. Upon dissassembly, I found OS had done two things to get more lube to the rear bearing. They relieved the back of the crank, and put a small hole into the crank even with the front of the rear bearing that will force a small amount of fuel air into the bearing with every stroke (intake). What a good idea! I bet with a carbide drill bit you could do the same to your 50's. Certainly can't hurt.

OS crankshafts are as hard as a whore's heart , I wouldn't fancy drilling either one .

I bet it is not as hard as you think. You can cut it with a hacksaw. As a lot of us have had to shorten them. And I was able to drill a 3 mm hole in a hardened Bergen mainshaft with a carbide bit. I don't think it will be a problem, and what do you have to lose? A couple of bucks for the bit? Don't knock it till you've tried it.

Well , the current OS crankshafts must be much softer than the old FSR series of engines were !
