Help w/ Pitch Slider Bearing on PP

I have an upgraded CNC swashplate and aluminum pitch slider for my PP and the bearing (the one that the servo linkage hooks to) has come loose off the bottom of the pitch slider. How do I reattach it? I was thinking some medium CA but I am afriad I might accedentally get some glue inside the bearing which would not be a good thing. Any ideas on how I could do this? What makes a good bond between aluminum and steel?

Hello

I heated one to put a slight lip in the bottom of the pitch slider to hold the bearing and retainer colar on and it worked for me. A crash pulled the bearing off and broke the flanges that were molded into the slider originally. I am still flying it. Be careful you only want a very small amount of flare. I heated a brass bar slightly that was twice the diameter of the pitch slider and pressed it down on the slider while it was in my hobby vise. I practiced on an old piece of plastic that was left over from one of my other crashes. Also I had to file the inside of the slider out to restore smoothness from the melting burs I created. I was wondering , How well do the Kokam batteries work? How much flight time are you getting with them? and do they get hot ? GOOD LUCK with your pitch slider let me know how it works out. Those little buggers are expensive !

See Ya

Bugflyer:

The Kokams work fantastic. I am actually happy to say that I am getting some really decent performance (finally!) out of my PP. I can get on average about 10minutes flight time using 2 1020 mah Kokam lipo cells. I am going to try and run another set of Kokams in parallel with the existing set and see if I can extend the flight time to 20 minutes or so. Overall I am now very satisfied with my PP where as a couple weeks ago I was ready to trade it off.

Thanks for the info . I think I am going to give Kokams a try. I really like my Pic Pro . I have almost 200flights on it with only 2 wrecks. I am playing around with it in the wind now to see how much it will handle . So far it has impressed me . I had it out in a 12mph breeze the other morning and it did well. I had to work a little harder but it was perfectly controllable. I have started building a second PP . I think after one gets through the initial bugs that PP have it ends up being a lot of fun. Take care and enjoy !
