| AirMailSince there are nemerous things that can cause a vibration, we need to get a bit of information so we can systematically try to help you get this fixed.
Which gear are your running, blue straight or the new helical white gear?
What engine?
What Blades?
What paddles?
OK, I have been using the regular black/red JB Weld (the overnight stuff)I clean the inside of the pinion bearing block bearing and top of pinion with 91% alchol and apply a good portion of JB weld and let sit overnight.
next loosen up all the bearing blocks, 3 on the main shaft and the clutch bell bearing block and make sure the mainshaft is spinning nice and free in the bearings, also remove the main shaft and roll it on a piece of glass and make certain it rolls flat and true, also chec the feel of the main shaft bearings and make sure they are smooth and not gritty. Next pull the spindle and roll it on a piece of glass and make sure it is also flat and true.
Gear mesh is next, you should set it snug with very little backlash on both the tail drive pinion gear and the mainshaft to the clutch pinion, also make sure you tail belt only has one twist 90 degrees, I've seen a double twisted belt cause some vibrations. Also make sure when you set the clutch up into the clutch bell you can see the bottom of the clutch even with the bottom of the bell, too far up inside and it can contact the top of the bell and cause problems.
Here's a start, keep us posted and we'll try to help.
Thanks,
Clyde
