Computer Flight Simulators > Autos in Reflex XTR?

Hi,

I find that when I am flying any of the electric helis in Reflex (Henseleit, Logo particularly), and I hit throttle hold to do an auto, the heli surges upwards with and extra burst of energy before settling down. I can really notice this when hovering at a couple of feet off the ground when I hit throttle hold.

This doesn't happen on the nitro models I have flown in this sim.

Does anybody have any advice on how to fix this to replicate a more realistic behaviour?

Thanks
Ant

Your pitch curves from whatever mode you are flying in probably are different than what is set in your throttle hold curve on the Tx. You might have more pitch set in TH relative to the current stick position when switching into TH. Something to check anyway. Hope that helps.

Happy wife, happy life.

Thanks Janked, I hadn't thought to check that.

However when I did check it, I have it set up just like my helis, where positive pitch in all modes, including TH is all the same.

My pitch curve settings are:
TH: 30 - 50 - 100
Norm: 30 - 50 - 100
Idle 1: 0 - 50 - 100
Idle 2: 0 - 50 - 100

Given that at the moment I hit TH in a 2 foot hover in order to just settle it down onto the ground I have positive pitch, the pitch should be identical between modes in this case.

Thanks again for your help. Any other ideas?

It is important to have the "Transmitter mixing pitch->throttle" option checked in the Model parameters menu. Is it possible that this option is checked on the models that work and not checked on those that don't?

Thanks pH7,

That did the trick - it all works perfectly now.

The only interesting thing is that the Hirobo Freya nitro which I sometimes fly did not have this problem with the surge on hitting TH, but it also did not have the Transmitter Throttle - pitch mixing enabled

Beats me how this happened but the bottom line is that everything is working perfectly now.

Thanks,
Ant
