Well finally took the plunge today and tried my first inverted hover with my Mini Titan. I was able to hold the first one for a few seconds no problem, and then of course the second time the Mini Titan drifted away, paniced and crashed. I've practiced so much on the sim that I'm a pro inverted hovering in all orientations on the sim. I hate it when I go out to the field to try something new that you were good on the sim only to result in a crash. Is it just me or has this happened to others here on the board! Thoughts? ThnX!

It's called the "Pucker Factor".
We all get it. No matter how good you get on the sim, a crash on the sim is still free. And it doesn't take any work at all to press the little red button.
The older I get, the shorter my attention....... Oh look. A shiny penny..

This is normal. It's a mental block that most of us has to get over. Subcontiously your mind is focused on repair costs rather than the task at hand. On the Sim your more relaxed.

Lowezz, Get up... dust yourself off and do it again. In the meantime, check out my gallery. It will make you feel much better
Century Swift- When in doubt, pull out. And that applies to everything.

Good input, I'll keep trying. Things that broke were blades, main gear, one blade grip, landing gear, flybar. Basically quite a bit. Anywayz good luck to everyone!

I was hoping to pick it up pretty quick but inverted even on the sim is killing me, everything is all twisted.
Then again I remember when I was trying to learn rolling circles with my airplanes and I thought I would never get it. Now I can do rolling eights whenever I want. I hope inverted works like that and one day it will just click.
I have to give Kudos to you for having the stones to try it in real life.

Yeah, I can lots of crazy things on the sim but at the field its the real deal, your balancing $$$ worth of equipment in the air.
Sometimes when I loose my heli I get a brain freeze and let it crash its wierd.
