My friend is havin a problem with the needle valve setting going lean while in flight.

He found the MIXTURE METERING SCREW changes settings while flying.

Has anyone else having this issue?

I haven't heard of that problem.
but maybe a thicker O-ring will fix it.

The needle clicker thing may not have enough tension on the needle to keep it in place. Simply remove the needle completely, and slightly bend the clicker thing down. Problem solved.

Clicker thing: yeah that's the technical term.

It not the needle with the clicker... its the mixture control.

I understand that to be the low end needle. No?

I don't own the engine, it's a friend of mine and all I know he is having the problems. While in flight the engine goes lean. The needle changes setting in flight. Any suggestions on how to get the needle not to change? He's tried both the stock fan and Quick UK fan trying to minimize the vibration.

Any suggestions from Thunder Tiger?

What exactly is the evidence the engine is going lean in flight? The most the low end needle would affect is mid throttle/carb positions. Contacting Thunder Tiger support is a good idea at this point.

have your friend open up the low end needle the one your pointing at in the picture about 3/4 of a turn from the factory setting this needle controls the idle up to about 60% of your throttle when you get above that point your on the high needle

If the needle is to change in flight it surely isnt going to move inward. I have had a engine in thepast the would vibrate the neeld out but never in. Have him check the O ring on the needle and see if it has some junk on it or just not sealing well. maybe go to the hardware and pick up a new one and put on it to see if it tightens things up.
Hope this helps
