Does anyone know what material is the main frame made of? I broke the canopy mount area and need to stick it back.

Thanks

JB Weld will sort of work. Nothing else really sticks well.
I think they make it out of the same plastic glue bottles are made from

The side frames are made of engineering resin. Usually that'll be a form a glass reinforced nylon. Nylons and engineering resins are what are called crystaline resins and therefore do not accept solvent welding type adhesives. Epoxy is the only chance you have for mechanical bonding. I doubt you'll get that post to stay since it's a small amount of surface area. If you could attach the mount to say a cne inch square plate and then epoxied THAT in place I'd say you'll be good. For me, I'd just replace the frames. It's less than $30, only takes an evening and you'll know the helicopter is right.
Use the opportunity to inspect everything and lube the bearings with Tri-flo.

Agree with Marty.
Easier to replace the frames and service the bearings while you are in there.
If you move the gyro up on the servo frame and keep the rudder servo up front you can pretty much remove the electronics as a unit. I can change frames very quickly that way.

Damn! That stinks!
Maybe screw a bracket to the rear gyro deck that you can use to strengthen the canopy mount ear?

For the canopy mount area you can put a sandwich of CF or aluminum boards (or whatever) with some JB-Weld to build them back up. Then put the canopy mount back on using a screw and a washer driven through a hole drilled in about the right spot. I wouldn't throw away a set of frames that are good other than the canopy post area. (but I'm cheap)

...yep...
