I just made up 2 a123 packs in 8s. i figured i've got300 plus flights on the esc so if i fry it no big loss.Works great.the extra power more then makes up for the weight.funny thing is because it has so much power on that voltage i found i wass haveing to much fun and my flight times were actually worse. But I'm sure if i took it easy on them i would get 4 minutes.

Happyness is 5 chargers and 3 power supplys all humming in unison at the end of a perfect day of flying

8s a123 on cc80

Hi centuryman,
I'm interested in your 8s application. Did you have to change any settings to fool the ESC? I'll be builing some A123 packs later this week and was trying to decide between 7s and 8s. I'll probably stick with 7s as my cc80 is brand new, and I'm not anxious to kill it. But it will be nice to know the option and how to set it up should I ever change my mind.

I run 8 cell A123 with the century electron esc 80/100 no problems, and no adjustments needed with the cut off point.
I even ran 9 cell and no problems.

I've got a dozen flights on with the 8s a123's so far no problems.I wasn't aware you could adjustr the cuttoff points on the century esc's.How is it done? I have a 85/110 that cuts out midflight for no good reason and i thought maybye if i could adjust the cuttoff lower it would cure it.

When you said you liked the extra power, what power did you have before?
