Avant Aurora - EFX - FX > Blade comparison 690 VS. 710?

Question,
Is there a difference between a 690(185g) blade vs. 710 Radix stick banner(170g)on the Aurora. I will have my Aurora in a little over a week, and I really want those quick cyclics with that groovy feel the CX head will give...but I really like aerobatic autos, and I want a blade that will give me the best of both worlds. So to those that have been flying the Aurora, will a 690 beat a light 710 in total performance?

thanks,
Brian Rasmussen

690s are overall less boggy in loading the head up. The 185 690s should auto great though, but 710s do take the cake on autos(180ish grams). Everyone is different on what they like for blades, and flying styles, and something everyone needs to find out what works for them best.

My favorites so far are the Smooth Extremes from Vblades...all 166 grams of them!(690s)

Thanks Jason,
How well do the extremes auto? At 166g I would guess not too well! Will they pick up and recover fast, but have little hang time?

I remember a long while back, there was video of a CA guy flying the Aurora with Radix 710SB, it was wild! Guess I'll be trying a few different blades since i have them...but no V's yet.

Like what Jason said, the 690's are easier on the head so it gives you more input around center on your cyclic that allows for smoother transitions. With the 710's you have to be easier around the center and has a greater tendency to bog if you apply too much input. Either blade works great for 3d but I personally like the feel of 690 blades more. My 690 smoothies do a good job in autos as well. You'll probably get more lift out of the 710's but not the point where it'll make a staggering difference.

On the Aurora Im also prefer the 690's for hard 3D .

Appreciate the info. can't wait to receive the kit's! I've been waiting which feels like 'forever',to see all this 'gleaming' quality! Last IRCHA I was able to fly Rob's Aurora from team Bob00, the most impressive heli package I've seen in many yrs., light weight, unbeatable flight performance, super high quality, easy to work on design...did I say I really like this heli?

CB In my mind, I am! I was just flying the Vibe 50 today, had a bouncy landing from an auto, broke the right front landing gear strut. Heli flipped over on it's side...luckly no other damage. Maybe I can fit an Aurora gear! I hope the Vibe doesn't have the 'weak' landing gear strut syndrom...like the N9 had!
