Blitz Helicopters Avro 90 > Which way does the tail transfer bellcrank go

One end of the tail transfer bellcrank is longer than the other. I can't see in the instruction manual where it says which way it should go.

Long end sticking to the side.. or short end sticking to the side?

I thought that too. Neither orientation makes the rod go exactly down the center of the boom.

The rest of the geometry seems to indicate that the longer arm should go under the boom and the short arm (which is about the same length as the servo arm) should stick out to the side. And I see that the tail bell-crank ball is slightly on the starboard side, so it sort of makes sense that the other one would be a bit to port.

I think I put the longer end to the outside, so the rod to the servo would be more inline with the servo. Either way, the rod to the T/R bows when you move the stick.

The shortest section of the lever goes towards the servo

I know because I asked Blitz Heli's the same question, and that's the answer I received

I put the shorter end toward the servo, because the servo arm is so short, I wanted to increase the throw back to the tail.
