Has anyone done this.

What is the advantage?

What Lipo settings should you use for a 2100 ma Duralite battery?

How about if you help us to help you by giving us more information?

What charger are you using? Most chargers treat LiPo's and LiIon's as the same.

Duralite Charger

I must respectfully disagre.

Those chargers that can charge a lion batter, also have a seperate setting for LIPO. I have the Duralte charger that takes at least 14 hours to fully charge the Duralite Li ion battery. The Mutliplex charger that i currently use has only LIPO, not LION.

If i can use the Mutliplex charger in the field, it would help.

Any thoughts.

Disagree with what? I didn't voice any opinions or give you any advice. I only asked you to give us more information. Until now, we had no idea what charger you're using.

I'll restate that most multi-function chargers categorize LiPo and LiIon as the same function for charging. In other words, you choose either NiMh/NiCad or LiPo/LiIon.

Duralite Battery Charger

There was a Triton charger at the field today that had a completly different selecton and setting for Lion and Lipo.

Now you really have me confused.

Sorry, not trying to confuse you. Just trying to understand the situation you're describing.

While I'm no expert and I guess I could be wrong, it is my honest understanding that charging a LiPo does not differ from charging a Li-ion. I've used a lot of chargers, and they all had a single setting for either chemistry. My understanding is that they have mostly the same current and resistance characteristics.

But someone could chime in here and tell me I'm wrong. I'd suggest you call Duralite if you're not 100% convinced.
