Hi guys...Bought a new laptop Toshiba a305 with windows vista 64 bit version.(just for "field" setups).

Problem!:

Can't install v-bar driver.(when I connect the v-bar box).Yes,I instaled the driver from setup cd.But my vista is telling me ,I need DIGITALLY SIGNED DRIVER.


any idea,where I can download it?Thank's a lot....

If you find out let me know, my mates got the same OS and couldnt get it running and seemed there was no help from uli either. I believe its not supported yet for 64 bit.

Vista 64 bit will not allow non digitally signed drivers to be installed which companies have to pay for to have MS sign/apporve their drivers. Just another way MS tries to control everything.

It says right on the Mikado site that 64 bit will not work and I tried running it as an adminstrator etc and no luck.

Note on Windows Vista 64: The USB Drivers do not run under Windows Vista. Vista64 requires an certified Driver, which is not available. This do not apply to Vista32, which runs fine.

That kind of odd. I couldn't tell you a 64 bit widget from a 65 bit so I don't what I did special, but my Vista OS system (Toshiba laptop purchased last month) accepted the V-bar program staight off of the CD this weekend.

JR you might have the 32 bit version of vista runnning which will accept the drivers. I had to bring out my old laptop with XP to use the software. I am sure someone will figure it out but so far I haven't found the answer.

Ahhh, I see now. I didn't know there were different versions of Vista available. One thing I have noticed however is that my Castle Link for ESC programming won't run on my new Vista system. I had to drag out an older XP system laptop to load the latest firmware. Hopefully Castle will have a patch for that soon.
