Compass Knight 50 > throttle mix without governer

hi all

ok, i've got a question for the old guys ;-0

i don't currentley have governer, so running alev/aleron mixing to throttle at the moment to get my static rolls not to bog down.

what is good mix ratio, i'm currentley on 20 % mix and still seems to bog down after about the 4 static roll.. should i up this till i feel happy, or there better way to do this?

alevator mixing seems fine, no bogging on back flips, although i'm still not getting my timing correct at all.

and any idea why inverted the motor will run higher rpm if i'm running straight pitch curve and mirror throttle (negative same as positive). only thing i can think is motor goes touch leaner inverted.

i'll recheck my pitch tonight to make sure it corresponds to radio percentages.

any input welcomed

i run about 35%, i have this enabled even with the gov in as the ATG and rev lock are both forward looking or active governors.

active governer

ok... seems like active governor will still pass through the throttle curve to the servo, but will adjust it if its to much or to little.

so i you going to give full power punch out. the governor won't know about it until after the head speed drops. but if you got curve in place, it will almost see what going to happen.. and motor will have better chance of keeping up.

Ade, is that more or less correct?

I also use the cyclic to throttle mix with the ATG. It works great.

Hmmm 35%? will give that a try next time out

whats your head speed? whats your cyclic pitch.
i run a rev limiter on 1 k3d but not my other 1 and my engine doesn't bog at all on either one. jon the rooster is my witness on it.
i just run a throttle curve no mixing.

only you have the power to make no difference!

I'm not using a gov on mine either right now.

My throttle mix on cyclic is at 23% and thats working pretty good.

I still haven't gotten the tail-throttle mix dialed in perfect yet.
The Knight tail throws A LOT of pitch. Too much, honestly.
I suppose I should turn down my travel adjust on that one side (GY611)
Right now I have 14% on the tail, but that will change.

Im not Mr. Lebowski, YOU'RE Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dood! So thats what you'll call me

Tail mix

well, i've got 0 mixing on tail.. running solid G with full through on tail and think 17mm on servo horn

Tail holding perfect.

only problem i have now on solid G is bit of bounce back after 2 pyro's.. but have not tried changing any setting on gyro yet.
