Kyosho Caliber 30 & 60 - Concept - Nexus > WANTED pull start for concept 30

Hello all, I have a NIB concept 30 that has a new 32 with it that I am going to put in an a109 fuse that I picked up.

The Funkey fuse instructions let me know I need a kyosho pull start assembly, part# H3219 and H1786

Anyone have any info on this stuff?

Thanks greatly.

Why do you need a pull-start?

Fuse install requires it.(without looking too odd)

Can you not do a rear start or top start conversion?

I could run it in from the back, but funkey instructions call for a pull starter kit, which I think would be kinda cool.

Concept 30's have the motor mounted cylinder head down, crankshaft pointing to the rear, and at an angle. No way to go top start for sure.

Trying to find a part that hasn't been manufactured in many many years is not going to be easy.

Best option if you still want to put the Concept in that Funkey fuse is to figure out a hex-start conversion. I think one was available at some time in the past, but again, it might be as difficult to find one of those as it is the pull-start mechanism.

Believe it or not, UpdateRC actually lists the Kyosho H3219 on its site:

http://www.updaterc.com/V2/catalog/...products_id=842

as does

Scroll down to see the "Hxxxx" parts.

As for the other part -- haven't seen it on any sites...

I flew some of them in Mexico and they look great.

Let me tell you that the starter extension is a mess, it is difficult to center and most of the times damages the fuselage.

The way to go is as the instructions say.

PMed you legend.
I greatly appreciate the knowledge guys, makes me want to do more knowing that help is available.

Looks like legend has the stuff I need. I was going to put the fuse on a raptor 30 that I have layin around, but I also have this new concept layin here that also is in need.

Legend, or anyone else, How does the concept fly? With the fuse? Is it underpowered or ok? (I have lots of newer helis, raptors, vigors, trexs450/600's etc, but havent flown anything else.)
Thanks!

In Mexico City, at 7,000 feet plus high, the .32 seemmed a little bit on the short side, but it should be adequate in other places.
