I just dropped my logo 600 vbar on the scale and came up with 7 1/2 lbs....I'm just curious what others are getting for weights?

Here's my setup

Logo 600 3d with vbar
gohbee 620mm main blades
Radix 105 tails
10s 3700mah Evo pack
futaba 9451 servos
align 6a BEC w/2s 2000mah rx pack
Jazz 55 esc with Heatsink mod
Ar 7000 RX
Actro 24-3
futaba 9256 tail servo

--------------------

RTF weight came in at just a hair under 7 1/2 lbs....

Mine weighs about 8 1/2 pounds but flies great. I think the difference in weight between them is I am running a flight power 4350 10S batt, and a PJ which weighs about 5 ounces more than the Jazz 55. I am also running a Fromeco Arizona regulator with a 2600 2S battery, which i am sure weighs a few ounces more than your align set-up. All that together adds the pound I'm sure.

3.6 kg is 7.94 lbs and 3221 g is 7.1 lbs for those of us who don't know what metric weights feel like.

Hmmm,

I've got the heaviest one yet. I used a cheap spring loaded fishing scale to get "about 8 1/2 pounds". Maybe I should find a quality digital scale and try it again. If I find out it actually weighs less, I'm sure it will all of a sudden fly way better .

KC

what is your setup that only weighs 6.2 lbs?

it must be a rocket ship

it would have been a rocket on a light 10s pack, but I run a 45-08 on a hefty 8s TP 3850 V2 pack...

the 6lb 2oz version was with TP 4000ma 8s packs, they only have a 10-12C rating and arent going to deliver anything near rocketship performance unless you want to blow them up!...the vid in my gallery is that setup.

my current L14 (6lb 11 oz) is actually one of yours I bought it off of Tabb, and its much hotter with a TP 3850 V2 8s pack than my old setup, even with the bling's weight.

Two other ideas I have been kicking around for light/cheap/powerful L14s are

1) Pletty 25-08 with 6s TP 3850s...if I were to start from scratch.

2) 8s TP 2600 with motor I have now...8 oz reduction right there.

throw back on the stock L/G, t/r case, and lighter tail fins, should come in 12 ounces lighter than it is now with same battery performance and only a 30 second flight time loss.

logo 14...

That was a VERY nice machine

I miss that one....That heli used to have a 32-3 on it at one point

Talk about a ROCKET!

I'm betting that on 8s that machine should still be a very good performer.....drop a vbar on that baby and you'll shed some weight and get even MORE power though...

I think 6s might be a bit weak for that...I would prefer a logo 10 for 6s actually.....that's what I fly my logo 10's on anywyas...6s and 550's seem to be the best setup..

the logo 14 with 570's and 8s should be a very good performer though..

I agree with 570s...the 45-08 on 8s V2s, 12T, and Mikado 580s was nice.

Love the way your bird flies btw, its solid. Bet it was awesome with the 32-3

I have avoided the big blocks only because of $$ right now. I can save almost 2 grand in batts/chargers/escs/motors, etc etc by sticking with what I got and only changing to lighter batts.

I figure with stock tail components (to get the balance right) and 8s TP 2600 V2s, I can get the weight to 5lb 14 oz and retain the V2 battery strength....rocketship!

the Pletty25-08/6s in the Austrian vid of the Logo 500 was what got me thinking about 6s (and being able to chop my 8s 3850 packs down to save some weight)....that thing is insane and its atleast 10 oz more than L14 with a 6s tp3850...just an idea.

Hi All,

Logo 500s

RC Heli and Radio Control Helicopters each did a review on the Logo 500 3D. They each came up with exactly the same weight:

6 lbs 5 oz (2.9 kg)

They were using BECs and 5000 mah packs.

I'm building mine right now. I was hoping to come in at 6 lbs 2 oz, to match the weight of the Swift I'm replacing, but I think I'm dreaming because I'm putting custom paint on the canopy.

Keep 'em flying.

I kept reading those review prior to getting my 500! I think it influenced me, there were a few mistakes in the review though.

I can feel that its lighter than my E550.
Last night i had my first ever lockout for.5sec while flying the logo 500, failsafe for thr is set to 0 so the power cut and everything else is set to hold.
I use 36mhz, i have since changed the freq and also made sure the antenna wire can't touch the boom, also separated the ESC lead from the UBEC lead.
Hopefully it won't happen again.
