as mchammer has stated with the way the market has been as of late with the gtx 260 and 280 and recently the 4870 X2 cards, you could actully get a really nice gpu with a lower price tag, for example i paid 304.99 each for my 9800 gtx's and now teh 9800GTX+ (rehash with solid state caps) is like 200.00. not only that but you can squeeze some performane out of them by buying say a lowest (cheapest) 9800 gtx and downloading evga precision and overclocking teh video cards. i am running 2 EVGA 9800 gtx's (cheapest ones (AKA vanilla) and they are both running at the core memory and shader clockes of the most expensive model

Well, Realflight G4 needs good graphics card and cpu, not much on the CPU side because Physics are not so high in RFG4 compared to actual simulation games.

I'm runnin Q6600 Quad-core with 9800GTX and 4GB RAM and i get 60-70fps on everything on ultra Maximum.

NOTE: When VSYNC is turned on, FPS is locked to 60fps. This is with most games, actually all of them

also another thing to consider is if you have the right drivers for your nvidia card tehn it will unlock physics since nvidia bought out aegia. if you are running vista have at least 2 gigs of ram (vista is a resource hog), however like an above poster mentioned when it comes to gpu's you get what you pay for.
