I am in need of an adaptor for my reflex dongle, The cord that I have is from the original (pre- XTR) reflex sim. The one that has the headphone (3.5mm) style plug. I found it on Reflex's site, but the shipping to the USA is ridiculous.

It looks like this:

here is the link on their syte:

Anybody have one I can buy?
or does anybody know where i can get one in the USA?

I already called Model Rectifier (disty for reflex), they said they cant order it.

Same as the ones used by Phoenix and RealFlight.

So this one would be fine

Don't know the US market but now you have the idea you might be able to find something cheaper or at your local store.

Cheers,

I'm in the same boat except I need one for an old Futaba/Hitec (six pin round). At least I think that's what I need, there seems to be some doubt that the dongle I got with this is a Reflex interface (Ebay purchase). Your right about the shipping.

Does anyone have a real photo of the of the pre-XTR dongle? I'm still trying to figure out if the one that came with this sim is even the right one. Thanks

Thanks Nigel, Mine has the USB plug mounted directly to the interface( no short cord). If this isn't Reflex any idea on who's? Doesn't appear to be RF or Phoenix that I can tell.
---mikefoy6, I was also shocked at the cost of shipping on the cables from Reflex. My next shot was going to be to try and get the pinouts from Reflex and solder my adapter. It seems like most of these adapters only use two inputs( ground and signal) regardless off actual pin count.

That doesn't look like a Reflex one but I may be mistaken. As far as I'm aware there have been three types.

Wired (pre-XTR)
===============
Electronics in a small box. USB plug on a short lead. 3.5mm plug on a long lead. Adapters are short lead with buddy connector on one end and 3.5mm socket on the other.

Stick Interface (XTR)
=====================
Electronics and USB plug mounted in single box. Has a telephone syle socket. Adapter is long lead with telephone style plug at one end and buddy connector on the other.

Slimstick
=========
Never seen one in the flesh. Looks like the same design as the original XTR stick dongle but a slimmer design.

Phoenix using the same design as the Reflex Wired Interface but the electronics is different inside. This means that Phoenix and Reflex Wired ADAPTERS are the same and can be used on either system.

Cheers,

Nigel

Making adapters is easy. Use the following sites for reference
