e-E-Flite Blade CP CX 400-3D > Blade CX 2 Blade CX 2 Battery Problems

I just got my Blade CX 2 out after having it stored for several months. I have 4 of the E-Flite 7.4 800mAh Li-Po batteries for it. I charged these up with the stock charger which comes with the Blade. 1 of the batteries will not charge. The red and green lights on the charger simply blink. The other 3 batteries seem to charge but when I go to use them they do not last very long at all. 2 of them are lossing major power after less than a minute. I have tried charging them several times but they do not hold a charge.

I made sure and never let the batteries get too low on power just like the manual said. All the batteries were charging fine and held a charge last time I used them.

The batteries are just over a year old and have set unused for several months. Are they trashed?

Is this a common problem with these batteries?

I pretty sure they were charged when I stored them.

I usually charge them after using them and if it has been a day or two since I used them I will top them off right before using them.

does the charger flash as soon as you plug in the battery or right off the get go? I have 2 chargers eflte & a non balance charger straight of the power leads made for lipo batterys the afer market batterys seem to have no problem with charging off ither however the eflite bat are tempermentail as all their stuff seems to be (it works but dont breath on it)any way i forced the eflite bat to charge one way or the other buy keeping time of actual charge time (time on the chargers before they both start flasing or beeping) and have won the battle so far....good luck

Both lights on the charge flash as soon as I plug the battery in. They flash at the same.

I think I need to get a new charger. I keep reading how cheap the E-Flite charge is. I'm looking at the CellPro 4S. Lots of people here seem to love those.

How are the E-Flite batteries? Are they cheap as well? What is a batter battery for my Blade CX2. Can I get a larger battery so I will get longer flight times?

A larger battery is a catch 22. More power = more weight. More weight = more power to keep in the air. For the cx2 you won't get anywhere. I would stick with the same size battery and just have more of them. I also think your battery is toast. Mine discharges over time as well. I know this is abnormal but it does. I don't know why. If you do decide it's toast could you send it to me instead of tossing it in the trash. I will of course pay shipping (i can paypal it to you). My electrical engineer friend and I are doing some experiments with them and it's good to have some "sacrificial test subjects" lol.

with 2 ears and 1 mouth you should listen twice as much as you talk
