Could there be some tool not yet in your toolbox that's making links more difficult than they should be?

I dig building heads and control hardware, links and all. The entire mechanism benefits from firm fonding while assembling (other times too like during the pre-flight), whilst pondering the 100-year-lineage of brainpower & innovation which enable RC helis to go where we tell them on sunny afternoons.

Hats off once again to guys like Frank Piasecki, Igor Sikorsky, Arthur Young, Charles Kaman, Larry Bell and Stan Hiller.

Paul Cornu too, and also Shigetada Taya -- the thwõp was with them all!

Okay, I am posting this on behalf of our group.

We have the details worked out and expect Avant RC to begin shipping our allotment of kits from their facilities to those that have pre-orders finalized beginning next week when other US dealers/distributors begin getting their kits. This should be the same time as RC Direct or shortly thereafter as they were first in the cue as understood and should be treated as such. Also as mentioned before RC Direct is in the backyard so lets stop harping on this point who gets what first. Bottom line is we are taking care of all our customers involved as fast as possible. Any one not happy with the way they are being helped can call HP or me at Heli Wholesaler and we will work it out. Call us first, if we screw up and don't fix it, then come here and blast away. I'll join ya!! But that won't have to happen.

We will keep our customers, dealers and pilots, up to date with the most current info we have. Don't work off speculation, contact us direct. No need to waste time with that route, speculation that is.

So if you have a pre order, call or expect a call/email from us, more than likely beginning today, to confirm your order. If I were you, I'd call as that is quicklest way to make sure you get locked in.

Thanks for your patience and as always, here to help. Just call or email us.

Let's not worry about the past, let's work on the now.

In this case, Definitely NO PROBLEMS, ONLY SOLUTIONS!

Thanks!

I hold the linkage rod with a pliers. I stick a wooden dowel through the link end, and turn turn turn.

It's not that bad, I just HATE doing it.

A pair of plastic link wrenches works wonders and eliminates plier scars on the link rods. The better ones can be chucked in a drill. With the ends already started squarely and a 2nd wrench in your other hand, you just drill 'em (carefully) down to size. Quick and easy.

Get a pair of these at HeliProz and elsewhere.

Congratulation Agusto on your release of the helicopter that many pilots will enjoy. I have always said the machine was well designed.

Let’s hear from the new owners of this machine. How it was to build and how they like to fly it.

Dood,

I've never seen that tool before, can you explain how it works.

The pliers lock in the closed position.
The polished know at the end has a kind of a cork screw. When you pull out on the knob, it make the rest of the tool spin around, twisting with it whatever is in the jaws of the pliers.

THis looks a lot better, though. Screw the lockwire pliers idea I had.

I think I can make a tool that does that.

They appear to be made of ABS. The smaller ends on mine are molded into a hex (for chuckability, not really necessary). Making them from some sort of plastic is surely beneficial to whatever link ends are used. 3 mm Rocket City links fit snuggly, so they're tight enough for smaller link ends too.

I was digging through my tool boxes looking for a servo horn, and I stumbled across one of those tools.

It must have been in there a while. I'd seen it in there in the past, but had no idea what it was for.

Im still wondering how I got it
