| I built my new N9 over the winter and used the HyperHub, Hyperdrive, dialed the start shaft and all, so I was surprised when I began flying it a week ago to see vibrations in the fuel tank and the tail looked "nervous", which I also attribute to the vibration.
So I went ahead and started checking stuff and was surprised at what I found. The top of the start shaft is nearly perfect - like around .001", but when I mount the starter coupling, the coupling wobbles so bad - you don't even need to put a dial indicator on it to see how bad it is while turning the flywheel by hand.
Now I clearly see the source of my vibes, but what can be done? I've tried to push one way or another on the coupling while I tighten the set screw, but after a number of tries, it still looks the same.
Anybody else have this issue? Suggestions? Is the starter coupling just of poor quality?
