Can a pantera be lengthen to the Raptor 90 size? If so what boom and belt can I use.

No, I dont see going to 800mm+ on the Pantera. You can lengthen it to clear 640mm blades but I think John is going to tell you that trying to run 710mm blades on the Pantera head would be a real concern.

I was thinking the same thing a few months ago after seeing the BBC video - why couldn't I use 690's and a stretched boom and have an 8 pound 90 sized heli?

I called JB about this, he said the Pantera head wasn't designed for such a large heavy blade, might fail in hard maneuvers. total bummer but I can see his concern about slinging blades like an Align.

The idea behind the BBC, even the 90 size BBC, is to use the 640mm length blades maximum. For the high altitude guys they'll have a 50 size heli they can fly 3D with. For everyone else you get a ridiculously fast climbout and virtually no chance of a bog in any manuever. It was not intended to turn the Pantera into a full bore 90 size heli.
