Looking at converting my 3d pro to belt drive. Using the Mesquito upper frame, belt pully, tail gearbox and shaft. Seems to be good parts support for mesquito 3d and same parts as HB 3D. Has anyone tried this conversion? Is it worthwhile to bring this bird back to life?

Sounds very interesting. I would like to try it.

Who makes the Mosquito and where would I get the items you described?

Cool...I want to know how yours turn out. I have a 3DPro still in the box with all the purple bling still in their packaging. I have been reluctant to build it because of the lack of parts.

Skyartec makes the mosquito, it's a 3d clone. Freestyle Hobby has the best prices even though you have to order from Australia. http://www.freestyle-hobby.com/cata...?cPath=42_45_46
Esky Store also has parts, cost almost twice as much more.

I'm going to order parts this weekend, I'll keep you posted on the build. I believe it will be worth the conversion and to keep my HB 3D Pro flying. It's still one of the better choppers for the money IMHO. By the way, I bought my heli from xheli when they had them for $24.00
