| My OpinionLet me start by saying this, as a can of worms will be opened here...
I started fly helis a little over a year ago and at that time, Hobbies and Helis International (U.S. Quick Distributer) was a target for a lot of abusive complaints. I formulated an opinion of the Quick heli line and HHI based on these comments, but that was wrong.
I have never had a bad dealing with HHI, and they have always tried to be helpful and answer my questions. I have some friends that do not like HHI, and that is fine, everyone has an opinion, and I will not say someone is right or wrong, it's a free country. It's just that I have NEVER had any problems.
As far as the Quick line. They have a lot of metal parts on the helis, so you sould consider the same thing that guys consider when they upgrade their Raptors, (like I did) with all metal parts, they are a little heavier.
The parts are a little more expensive, but I noticed that HHI is pricing the replacement parts very reasonably, (remember they are metal).
Quick parts are found on a lot of other helis, especially Raptors. The helis that they make fly very smoothly and precise. You have to pay closer attention to a heli with a lot of metal parts as to opposed to a plastic heli as screws tend to come loose a little more, but I had that problem with my metal parts on my Raptor.
I have flown both and I will say that the Quick line flys better, no comparison, (I can not speak for the 60 helis though).
I have a Quicke 15 that I am going to convert to electric, and I just bought a Quick Pro 50. My Raptor 50 and Venture are for sale if that tells you anything.
I don't want to get into a "mine is better than yours" contest, just offering an opinion.
As far a size, the 30 pro with a TT .39 is a great combination. I think the OS .32 is a tiny bit underpowered for the heli, (same as my Venture). If you only want that engine, you might be best to stick with a lighter heli like a Raptor or a Caliber.
The pro 50 with an OS 50 or Webra .52 is a monster and a lot of fun. I flew a friend's and it was very light on the disc and tons of fun. The 50 sport is also a great heli, it has G10 frames and plastic grips over the pro. May be a little lighter, but with a 50 in it, it does not matter. I am ordering a Webra 52AAR for mine, as it has great power and is sippy The OS is gulpy, (are they words?).
Best of luck with your decision! |
