How far does it go?

How much does it cost?

Can I fly it?

How fast does it go?

Funny BUT Seems to me that an unmaned that size would be controlled from a control room not a hand held transmitter.

why do you need a control room? control rooms are for unmanned vehicles that go out of sight or over the horizon. Looks like this one is for logging or other operations that allow it to stay in sight?

I came across this heli again doing some research for work and its got a pretty unique control system which is what gives it the ability to lift such heavy loads and extended TBOs. Theres no pitch control from the rotor hub its all done with servo controlled tabs located at the 3/4 section of the blades. Theres no hydraulic system and blade tracking and vertical vibrations can be compensated for by the control system.

Get a life? How the hell do you fly a life?

Servo tabs and blade twisting are two different things.

I'd like to see details of those servo tabs.

that is one bad aircraft you have there.

got any more closeups of the controller? looks only slightly larger than your futaba.

any idea if you're close to the record for the largest remotely controlled heli? what frequency does that thing run on?

did you tape in the RX crystal?

if it ain't broke…break it.

Hello mdu6
I know about the MI-12, but it looks more like a plane with part of the wings cut off, then a helli, similar to the Osprey, but without the rotating head.

It certainly is a heavy lifter, beats the MI-26

Are those ejection seat handles on the MI26? Up into the blades?

I believe Russia was the first to come up with explosive charges on the blade bolts to accomodate ejection seats.
