I'm tired of waiting for the Aurora. I need something to build now, so I'll keep the deposit on the Aurora, and buy the Synergy now. That being said I will start all over with new everything. Just searching for opinions on what to best set her up with. Probably go OS as the power plant as the rest of my fleet is. TIA

ys sr91( more power and not much tuning)

jr 8717
8311 on throttle
fromeco 5200pack
fromeco regulator
i use a GV1 ( but you decide)
i use a 611 some people like jr770,CY gyro.

Buy the hyperhub
hyper drive (both are must in my opinion) Just make setup a lot easier...the rest hyper thing are really nice but you dont have to have.

Now that's what I'm talking about. I will give it all a look. I have the OS 91 szh with the sb 18 fh for power and logitech 6100 gyro and the dx7 for the aurora. Similar layout on the rap 50 and evo 50 using futaba servos and Jr batteries. I will go look at the recs thanks.

thats cool!!

Your OS 91SZH is also a very nice engine along with the sb18 just not has smooth but it also rocks. I have that same setup on my first synergy along with the futaba 9351's on 6volts. Just make sure you get some kick butt servos. If your going new, i think you should go with the best and right now it seems to be the 8717's. They can be alittle scary at first, So your butt might get a little tight in the beginning! The fromeco reg has a stepdown for your tail and has worked flawless for me...
those 8717 eat up your battery so make sure you get a 5200 fromeco pack.

Radix 710 seems to be the preferred choice these days.

your going to have a WILD RIDE

I would get the Hyper rings also with your set up. They are the cheapest upgrade and one of the most noticeable. I am running an OS 91 SZ pumped with a MP5 on mine and i like it a lot. I am also using the Fronco Arizonia reg with a 2 cell Lipo. You might want to get a Switch Glo. I have one and it beats messing with a glow driver. Good luck and welcome to the club.

Thanks guys it's great to be hear. Please by all means keep the info coming for this choice steed. I will be checking this Synergy section frequently to play catch up.

I just did more research and I will for sure be going the servo, gyro, gov way as did helinewby. Further info needed on the other stuff lipos as rx batts and regulators, flybarless?? another widget to look at. More input please.

Also on the motor pipe combo. It was stated it a good motor just not as smooth. Well let me ask this what is the best motor pipe combo for pumping in the skies but with the set and forget mindset. I am not sure I really want to be playing with needle setting all the time. I was thinking about my OS hyper, but I would like to hear your opinions.

Thanks

A lot of people are switching to the YS 91SR with the hatori 19 pipe.

I just use a 2100 2S2P lipo for my receiver and a Arizona reg for the servos. I am running a GV-1 now, but i am thinking of trying the Multi Gov. It is lighter and i think it would work better than the GV-1.

When you get everything look at Chuckies gallery. Thanks Chuck

He has set up tips and a lot of info to get you going. It save me hours of time since he did the work. I just printed it out and had it handy when building.

i would get a solid-g gyro with either a 8900 or 9256 or bl251 servo best combo on the synergy.

8717's
SG reactor x reg
evo or fromeco 5200 lipoly
ys91sr
mp5 or sb19
ATG v3 gov
Radix 710's i prefer the 710sb's
hyper hub
hyperdrive
hyper rings
switchglow

and it will be a killer synergy

the os91sz is to picky to tune and those dam shims suck to keep changing for different weather conditions

You all are great, keep the info coming. What do you think about the logitecj 6100 gyro. I have the OS now, but at the recs. of the group I may strongly be switching to the YS. May I have some more opinion on this please. YS good for banging the skies compared to the OS as well. Also what other goodies are recommended.

Thanks

i have the solid G on my N9 and 8900 tail servo and 8717 all over it.....and 5.8 reg.(will upgrade to 6v soon)

hyper hub (YOU MUST GET HYPER HUB) will save you the hole dial you fan process.

hyper levers
hyper coller
o.s szh pump
with mp5
v-690

i had great satifaction with my current engine....but engine is up to you

will upgraded to OMI aswell VERY SOON

also the kasama grips works perfectly!!! and with CY tailblades 105

but as inkspot said the solid G is a PERFECT combo with the 8900 on the N9..

and with you g-view you can make it unbeliveable!!!!

solid G is the way to go 110%

My synergy should be here this afternoon. Damn UPS hurry up I'm driven myself crazy. Thanks to all who took the time to input. I am sure I will have many questions to come.

By the way ended up with the setup that inkspot set forth, but with the 611 instead. Where is the best place for the hyper parts as far as stock is concerned.

Thanks
Happy flying
