Can't we all just get along!

How about you guys solve your vibration issue by going with one of our large electric powered cam-copters. Better yet how about going with our up-coming turbine jet powered, 3 axis stabilized cam-copter system. These power-plant release super high frequency vibration which are easily isolated. Vibration frequency release from the main and tail rotor is dampened using aerospace vibration isolators and correct equation.

Just a thought!

One sentence you say this - And then the opposite in the next.

MPA, thanks for proving my point. I don’t think you really believe that bashing someone about cropping or other techniques is the same as showing a picture and saying how you did it!

For vibration isolation you can take an eye to www.lordmpd.com
click on the right side at "product selector" , then you can click over the blue "vibration isolators" link in the middle of the text, click to continue in the following page and accept disclaimer. Some where after this, you must imput a name, company and e-mail but not necessary to be true . Once at the product selector page select HVAC option and enter the requested variables. It will select the better isolator unit according with it from all the ones they have in catalog.
Hope it helps
Elossam

BTW
Have never saw one of this silicon fluid CD isolator, can someone show me one?

Thank you for filling in the gaps Elossam.

The liquid silicone dampers I use are out of automotive CD players.
A pal of mine is a car audio seller and had a pile of old trade ins.
2 per unit so it took 2 units to get to 4 I wanted.

Since I started out with it and have not used any other way and it works but I cant be 100% it is the method to use of those used by others here to isolate vibration..
If we can narrow down exactly what the best arrangement is in here and how it is constructed and materials used first, so far it proving to be trial by fire.
No one has come up with a better evaluaton of them than shutter speeds and just using high speeds is not going to do it for my needs.

Here are some from the same site

high damping capacity and a high absorbing performance for a wide range a frequency.
http://www.lordmpd.com/transportati...cous_mounts.asp

common in automotive or truck engine mounts, where the engine bounce at roughly 10 Hertz needs to be highly damped without introducing very poor high frequency vibration isolation. This approach is also used in helicopter rotor dampers to improve stability in some flight conditions.
http://www.lordmpd.com/tech_solutio...d_isolation.asp

So maybe liquid silicone is best as it cover a varying range of vibration these mounts have to deal with.

The calculator there bummed out, prolly my proxy server here messing with it.

Sorry for flaming you MPA

By the way you criticized everyone who replied to your post I can see that you have a vast amount of knowledge about aerial photography.

I'm pretty sure no one could say anything that would add to your incredible experience in the field.

All of your knowledge is so well documented in your vast gallery of perfect photos and your wonderful website.

... now where did I leave that ore for my rowboat, this post is beyond hip waders now

Your photos on your site are a sad joke.

Pitifull actually so here is some advice.
Learn to face the right way (sun behind you) so you dont have huge shadows running across the shot like you have, learn to crop properly the subject and details are all over the place, horizons on planet earth are level not crooked.

Let´s stop fighting, that becomes boring.
Time ago I found a fine URL with a vibration explanation. May be it can help anyone to know a little more about it.

Thanks for info MPA, the Lord viscous mount seems to be an option.

I was just happy that I put everything together and it all did what it was supposed to...

In my excitement, I put some of our first pictures up on an impromtu website for all to see, with no alterations other then lowered resolution for the net. It DOES say "Our FIRST photos"

I thought the long shadows were cool, except for the one with the shadow obscuring the front of the house... I posted it anyway cuz it was a friends house and they wanted to see it right away; that one was actually from the very first roll of film we shot on a windy day (20+mph). We learned from that roll how important the sun placement is. I plan on reshooting that one for them (hey it was free), but I haven't yet so I leave thiers up 'till we get a new one.

I don't promote this very hard as a business yet, I am taking it slow to get it right. I have several jobs lined up, but I don't charge them much yet and they know I am a beginner.

just trying to keep it FUN !

I understand why you put the shots up at your site but suffice to say you leave yourself open to criticism from those you criticise yourself being me.

I'm open to critisizm. I just poked fun at ya cuz you started slamming obvious pros... you open YOURSELF to criticism just like I did

Nice view and subject matter in the foreground, the background just detracts from it

I (respectfully) disagree, the only thing I missed in Chads pic was the rest of the horizon... It gives a feeling of expansiveness Don't get mad at me it's just an artistic opinion.

I was pretty fond of Chad's pic 'cause I bailed many a hay bail exacly that way when I was a teen... I liked the expansiveness that an aerial picture is capable of... I seen plenty of hay close up!!

Dude... I don't care to have any enemies on this forum... TRUCE!
