Miniature Aircraft Nitro/Gas Helicopters > BW Stratus build ?'s

I'm in the process of building my BW Stratus. I'm having trouble trying to figure out some mounting locations for some of the stand-offs since the instructions are V 1.3 and the instructions on MA's site are 1.4 but they still are off.
What holes do i use to mount the rear fan stand-offs using a YS Sr and 8.18 gr ratio? Could someone take close up pics of their BW Stratus for me to see if I'm missing something and to compare it to. thanks

This is my heli. Although it's not in front of me right now (so I can't verify for certain) you can see where there is light passing through the unused holes in the fan shroud mounting location.

Hope this helps.

These pics got me through the build. Don't give up or get frustrated!. Once you fly it, it will be all worth it.

thanks for the links they help out tremendously. looking at the pics I can also see where the spacers go also. i noticed that in the BW Stratus and the regular Stratus some of the spacers are located differently.

I just went through the same build you are doing. PM me when you get stuck with details, like what part # they are referencing. I definitely hit a snag or 2 along the way. Might save you some time.

Cheers

Hey hey! I had the kit right before BHAM. Been a 'wannabe' for a while.

Flew it yesterday, I think my main comment was 'Are you fu**ing KIDDING ME??'
Yep, something like that.

It rolled like a screw in liquid. Not used to such an effortless feeling.

BW is the "Bobby Watt's" conversion to the Stratus, also known as the High Ratio Stratus due to the high input/output ratio of the ccpm bellcranks allowing for much faster cyclic and collective response.

The High Ratio factor sure became apparent when I saw my swash settings lower than I have ever seen, just to get the pitch to a sane 13/13.

Thanks again to all that helped, especially Art and Nabi San!

LOL Mark

You snapped that one right on time. The motor was turned and fired on the first kick. 'She Lives!' sounds like a good caption for the gallery.

Thanks M3.
