I have this engine in my V50, with an Align muffler, so far a great combinaison.

Any problems with the carb? I read somewhere a few people have had trouble with the carb on the engine?

Yes, some troubles at the beginning. I removed the spring in the carb and then it was OK . But I think, the webra 55P5 is more powerfull and made with a better quality.

ciao

Thunder Tiger and Align parts in a JR Vibe! Talk about a conflict in interest!

I had an align muffler on a YS-50 and a vibe but someone (Tony) gave me grief about it. New SAB-50 hatori bolts on this week.Hopefully that will cure a little trouble too....

Actually Tony recomended the 521, but that seems hard to get this side of the pond. I think the SAB50 is the same ....if its not oh well nothing ventured nothing gained.

lol

The 521 and 522 are both 3 chamber type pipes. They are exactly the same. The 521 has a shorter header so its slightly lighter (less 12gr) and is closer to the frames. Not sure about the SB50 but I remember the Jason Krause Special SB50 which had a mount is only a 2 chamber one.

Oh and one last thing about brand mixing... after I initially built my vibe, the tail felt a little "jumpy" and just not as locked in as I was used from my hirobos... it felt almost as bad as my 600N...

Guess what? I had installed the 600N carbon boom supports because they were lighter than the stock vibe supports. I ditched the align boom supports and bird is now silken smooth.

Who would have believed that???

Well hopefully it will run a bit more consistent with the hatori. (fingers crossed) The align ran okay but just not happy with it when head unloads..like I said give it a try...

I've got an os50 with the Curtis Youngblood MP5. I like it, but what do I know - I'm new to nitro.

If you touch my heli, I'll triangle choke you!

You can trust me, Webra 55P5 with his MagicPipe55 muffler is the best combinaison ever. The Redline works great, but only in high RPM; during the same flight, in hover, sometiges it comes lean, sometimes rich... the TT carb.. is just a TT carb
