I worried about zip ties cutting in as some people here described, so I put fuel line over the part of the zip tie that warps around the wire. I also use a zip with the tail sticking through the frame and a "lock" cut off of another zip tie to hold it in place. Lie this:

Here is how it looks around the wires:

This is all you see (if you can) from the other side:

That's a slick idea. I can think of several places to use that method.

i picked up a roll of garbage big tie stuff that i can cut to length and it works awesome... it is plastic instead of paper so it holds everything really well and instead of having to break ties i can just untie it and retie...

What is the verdict on Wire ties? I have seen posts where people say never use them
The primary reason people shake their finger at another guy for using zip ties or "wire ties" is only if you use them on the bare thin rubber insulation of the wire. You need to take in account the micro vibrations that occur with the engine and throughout the frame. If there is nothing between the zip tie and the thin rubber wire insulation then you risk the hard zip tie "eating" through the rubber insulation and ultimately compromising the wire. I personally use this material over my wires and have great success, but I cannot remember the name of the stuff.
