e-Hirobo SRB Quark - Lepton - XRB Coaxial > Lepton Tail Not holding in punch out

The tail on my lepton is not holding when I do a fast punch out.
My set up is with a futaba 401 with the 9254 servo. I set the gain up to 100 percent and the tail doesn't even wag, but it still does not hold when I do a hard punch out. The tail would swing to the right. I also notice that the lepton is extremely fast when I punch out...it seems faster than my Trex 500.

Longer tail blades help but I've found a smaller pitch range and better collective management improves things greatly. Good headspeed and settup comes first though.

I've notice that that pitch range does matter because if I punch out slowly/moderate, the tail doesn't kick. However, my pitch is from -10 to 10. And when I punch out its usally from 0 degrees to around 8 degrees. Does this typically happen in lepton?

Maybe to some degree with some restriction in choice of power chain etc it may be harder to get the tail just right. There are others more experienced in this forum who can advise. For me, with the Hirobo motor, esc and 4 cell bat it was just getting the correct set up in the tail, then pumping it up to its sweet spot which got things rockin.

I'm using -9 to +9 pitch range and 401/9257 combo with stock tail blades and the tail is solid in punch outs (as well as all other manouvers I'm capable of doing). This is with both the Hyperion 3025-10 and the Kora 15-12 on 4s.

Given that you can take your gain to 100% and there is no wag, I'd say that your servo arm is too short, or your ATV's are not adjusted properly or something like that. I don't think 100% gain and no wag is normal. Something is wrong with your setup.

You must have a low headspeed. I ran a 100% throttle curve on 5s and it was very powerfull. I never once had the tail blow out. I was using the kora ..16, logitech 6100, and carbon tail blades.

Must have more POWER!
