I have to say on my helis its Rotor tech all the way. I have tried many blades out there and I cant find any that fky and pop like the rotor techs. The go from a sit still to 50 feet in no time at all and are very forgiving as well. I love them over all. I have tried radix do not really like them the more I fly them. I have tried v-blades. they are pretty good. I have tried maverrik and do not like them but maybe for hovering and some basic flight. So i have to say rotor tech all the way. How about you guys. any blades out there close to Rotor techs?

SABs are awesome!! And are my first choice. The original TT blades rocked too, they are very stiff.

I love

My Rotor Tech 610 and my V-blades. Has any one tried the new tst extreme or the new Thunder Tiger blades?

I agree on the RT's they are at the top of my list and the V's rank at the bottom of my list just above Maveriks. IMHO the Radix are the closest to the RT's ranking second.

I love how the RT's fly and feel. They are more efficient and load the motor less than anything I have ever flown. For lack of better vocabulary and better descriptive words. RT's just grab the air and go period. They make the heli feel very positive and predictable and that your in control.

I have to give SAB some love too they rank third on my list below Radix.

I agree

I do agree with that. The RT's are very smooth and pop like no other. I just wish they cost a little less. $100 a pop is crazy. I wish the v's would come down to. $115 is crazy as well but I guess you have to pay if you want the best

I found the RotorTechs to be slow on the cyclics. For pitch they were fine. Am I the only one who noticed that?

Yes

Yes. What servos are you using. They are supper quick on my 600 pro with JR8717 servos. So what blades do you like best then?

I was using them on a Raptor50. Which the cyclics are slow anyway, the RT's just made it worse.

I have the RT610's and run 8717's and those blades are quick and they got some POP too.

That's fine but what are you flying them on? Blades are not the only difference here. The brand of heli makes a huge difference due to the type (amount) of mixing and throw.

PJRono, I am using the RT610mm on my r50 and I find them to be fast on the cyclic. Do you have the 610mm version? The 600mm are supposedly much much slower on the cyclic, perhaps you might want to double check.

I just looked at the 610s and they look different. I most likely had the 600s. Like I said they were real dogs. The Mavrikk Patriots were worse though and so were the Helimax Carbons. I got a newer set of Mavrikk G4 620s and they are a little better but not much over the older ones.

I've used/ use a wide variety of blades. here's a little bit of my opinion on a bunch of them.

V Blades have the most pop than anything.
Don't auto the greatest. A little more expensive than most other blades.

Radix don't come anywhere close to the pop that the V's have.
They still have some crisp cyclics, and float forever in an auto.
Very good ALL AROUND blade, and suit just about anyone's flying style.

heh, with Radix, you can hit the throttle hold switch, give it a touch of + collective, and the heli will float there forever. You can set the radio down and go make a sandwich, come back, and the heli will be still floating there in an auto.

Thunder Tiger. Heavier than most other carbon blades. Typical that they come really unbalanced. Affordable, and fly totally decent.

Mavrikk G5's
. I flew these a little bit in the dead of winter in January. I really liked them in the cold. I put a half dozen flights on them this spring, and found they bog way to easy. They don't just bog, they BOG!
I'm not sure how the chemistry of the air was different, but it was nothing like how they flew in the wintertime.
They're decent blades at a good value

RotorTech 610's. (much like the one's I'm trying to sell in the classifieds section) They're not terrible blades, but I don't like them.
for starters, they auto like CRAP. They can feel a bit squishy overall, but for some reason I kinda like the cyclic feel on them. They feel somewhat like a set of Radix, and they should since they are made in the same factory.
They have a narrower chord, so they don't bite as much. Really no pop at all. I bolted them on a nitro turning 2000rpm, and that wasn't enough to make these blades fly well. I think they need a stupid fast headspeed like 2100+ and they'll do quite well. That kind of head speed is something I'm just not willing to make my 50 do.
Did I mention these auto like crap?

-------------------------------------------------------------

I gotta go with the Radix blades for my blades of choice.
reasons why.
  • Best ALL AROUND blade. Ideal for all types of flying.
  • Significantly cheaper than other blades in their class.
  • Auto better than any other blade I've ever flown
  • They look pretty bad ass, both on the ground and in the air

Well, I use the Vario blades and cannot fault them, incidentally they are the only rotor blades I've never needed to balance.

Had one set of SABs once which were a mile out of balance when purchased.

I've never used those, so they wouldn't make MY list.
Send me a set and I'll tell you what I think. I'll be sure to put them on the list.

you need to try the new 610's. they are much better than the older style you have for sale. I like Radix as well but they are 3rd on my list. It
1 RT 610
2 V-tst
3 Radix
You should give the new version RT 610's a shot. If you like the v-'s for pop then you will love the RT610 new ones. The also will float a heli for ever not need to touch it. Give them a shot if you have not yet. I assure you , you will not be disappointed
