Here's what you'll need...
1. A FREE copy of FMS Flight Simulator (http://n.ethz.ch/student/mmoeller/fms/down.html) 2. A FREE copy of PPJOY (http://www.simtel.net/product.downl...rs.php?id=75176) 3. Your 4-Channel TX and Serial Cable that came with it 4. These instructions 5. Grab a soda or coffee... It'll take a few minutes...
OK, once you've downloaded and installed FMS and PPJOY, do the following.
1. Remove the crystal from your transmitter (if running on batteries), and plug the serial cable into your PC and TX. Turn on the Transmitter. 2. Click on Start / All Programs / Parallel Port Joystick / Configure Joysticks. 3. Click on the "Add" button... 4. Change the "Parallel Port" which is set to LPT1 to Virtual Joystick 5. Now Click "Add" to save and close this window.
At this point, WinXP will install drivers for the new "device"... Help XP along and ensure everything is "Installed and ready for use"! After that is done, do the following...
1. Click on Start / All Programs / Parallel Port Joystick / PPJoyCOM 2. Change the settings to match the one's in the picture below... (*NOTE: You must have PPJoyCOM running while running FMS!!) 3. Open FMS (should be a shortcut on your desktop) 4. Click the "Model" menu, and select Load. Load the "ThreeDee" file for a decent chopper 5. Click the "Controls" menu, and select "Analog Control" 6. Select the "Joystick interface" and click the "Mapping/Calibration" Button 7. Change to the settings in the picture below, and click on the Calibrate button 8. Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate your controller, then click "OK" to save your changes.
You should be ready for flight!

Also, you must turn on your TX, then start PPJoyCOM, then launch FMS in order for it to work properly. Do this everytime you want to fly in the sim.
