I really like some of the new feature I am seeing and after flying my Freya for years I have a couple suggestions...

1) Please get rid of the octagon tail boom. I've never cared for the look and it's heavy. I would like an inexpensive carbon solution.

2) Offer a tube drive tail system as opposed to a belt drive. Tube drive systems auto quite a bit better than the belt driven heli's. I know there is a tube drive system out there (I have it in my Avant) but it is expensive and difficult to replace in a crash.

I have almost 800 flights on my Freya EVO and I will NEVER replace it. But these are a few issues that have bothered me for sometime.

I picked a hell of a day to quit drinking

Hi, solarXtreme,

Octagonal tail boom is not just for good looking, is for rigidity. Any nerves placed along a surface will increase the axial rigidity all over the piece. Take a look on the Wilga 35 airplane, it was very light and powerful, and it is full of nerves along its body.

It maybe nice or ugly to look at, but be sure that octagonal shape is for a purpose. And it will be also present in the new 3D machine...

And... there is also a carbon sollution, but unfortunately, is not inexpensive.

Regards,

I prefer the octagonal boom. It makes alignment so easy, and I think it looks sturdy and cool.

While I agree the original intention is for rigidness, none of the 3D heli's in the same class use an octagon boom design.

Hirobo do it their way, the others do it theirs. Nothing to argue about really.

I like the octagonal boom, and no, I prefer the aluminum version not the carbon version, the former is stronger.

The new Hirobo Hibachi, that's got a ring to it. I'm sure looking forward to this heli.

Here's another suggestion for a name: Kestrel-90. Kestrel is another bird of prey as well as a variety of other interesting things. They hover above their prey and swoop in for the kill. Check out your local search engine.

Kestrels are rather small, so that would work great for a 450-size.

How about

Thor 90
Katana 90
Shurkin
Nighthawk
