Hi ilanna

We had fun last year. I think all went well until we were chased by the airplane guys 2-3 in the afternoon. Did you make a deal with the airplane guys for this one so people won't be chased away?

BTW, is it 1st or 10th?

That sounds cool!

Justin Chi(G) and the pit crew will definitely be there.

But, your post shows two dates, June 1st and June 10th. I assume it will be the 1st as that is on Sunday.

Your event is not showing up in the event summary. I doubt too many know about this event without it being shown in the summary.

Last year you said that the field was going to be open till 4pm and at
1:15 your fearless leader decided that 2pm was enough and the plane guys could start flying and your local field Nazi ran all the heli guys out of the place. So you want me to believe that this year will be any different than the last 2 years unless you can guarantee you have full
control of your local field Nazi's which I know you can't do which is a shame, you have some really nice people who came out to see pilots from other area's fly and in all the places that I have flown at up and down the east coast I and my fellow heli pilots were never made to feel so unwanted by a group that invited all to fly at their field.

I will tell anyone I like your field and some of the members are very
friendly and want to learn from pilots of better skill levels. Just the idea that I will or any of my heli friends would have to deal with the B.S. that happen last year is a complete turn-off to coming.

believe me i deal with that every week but slowly we are getting to some understanding with the old guys, on a daily base we have the place 7am to 9:30am with no issues after that we need eat the BS you talking about but for this fun fly we will have all day and i will that i can promise.

Hope to see you there

Hey, if I could predict anything accurately five days in advance, I'd have a bigger heli.

Take Southern State West to the Wantagh Parkway South. Follow that to Merrick Road Eastbound. Just past the Family Dentist, on the right, is the entrance to Cedar Creek Park. If you go past the Diner, you went too far. Enter the Park and follow the road around to where it forks to the right. At the top of that fork is a guardhouse and gate. If the guard asks you anything, just tell him you're a guest for the Heli Fly-In. Continue along that road all the way to the end - as far as you can go (there are two roads leading to the right at the end - you want the second one. It's a bit bumpy) Turn right at that last road. Follow that for about a half a mile. It turns into a washboard dirt road, continues past the Tether Car Raceway, and pretty soon it opens up to the flying field. Total distance from the Guard Booth to the Field is about 1 mile.

Don't try to use a GPS or you'll end up in the water.

Hope that helps. See you there!

Well, we just got home. I forgot the sunblock and I'm toasted. Ilan and the Nassau Flyers club, thanks for the fun event. Free lunch can't be beat. We enjoyed the hero and the potato salad as well. Thanks again for the airplane guys to patiently wait until we were all done.

3.6m Yak 55sp demo was cool too. It would have been better with less wind but I'm not complaining. It certainly was better than rain.
