Does anyone know if you can run these things on 6volts with a step down for th BLS 251?

The Spartan can handle 8V.

The older I get, the shorter my attention....... Oh look. A shiny penny..

Operating voltage is 4 to 8.4 volts for the gyro. The BLS 251 operating voltage is 4.8 volts, so yes you can do it with a step down.
