Just curious if anyone knew when the new 90 will be available? I save my money for an Aurora, but now that a new Hirobo is comming, I think my money is better spent by buying it.

600N, EVO 50, Caliber 5, Beam 450, and comming soon TREX 9000 :)

That looks like a bigger version of a cross between the Knight 50 3D and TSK acrostar!

I like everything in that picture except the tail linkage set up. I'm sure it's functional, but awkward.

And someone else mentioned that the engine sits rather low.

Ah well, we'll see.

machine metal parts are always going to be expensive. I take it Hirobo will always keep production in Japan to maintain quality control.

But then again, there should be no reason why TRexs' quality should be any less, machine operation is machine operation - or am I missing something. Either they make things quicker and that's why their quality is lower (I won't know since I never flown a TRex or looked at one closely) or their equipment has lower tolerances. Educated guesses as usual since I don't come from a maching background and don't know how these things are made.

You would think that processes are processes but alas, tis not the case. The thing that makes Hirobo machined parts different is attention to detail. Detail costs money. Align uses glue and anerobic sealants to assemble parts together and Hirobo doesn't. The machine tools could be the same in two different plants but the setup and operation are what makes the difference.

That's the funny Terry because when I compare Hirobo parts even to JR's, Hirobo is better. They have that extra finesse if you know what I mean. I even compare to other manufacturer's and the fit is better, more precise.

I suppose why TRex do what they do due to historical set up, needing to have a higher through put etc. . . But that begs the question why TRex can't adopt what Hirobo do - or would take put the price of TRex beyond what their market can take?

dont forget that align's business model is to sell junk, then sell junk upgrades, then sell version 2 of the junk upgrades, etc. Then before you know it, they've sold 2X the original kit cost for upgrades that shouldnt need upgrading in the first place.

I don't like their business model (i.e., "selling junk", but damn, it sure seems to be working well with no end in sight.... Folks, just seem to continue to go back for more.

Its like cars, most of us buy what we can afford and is fairly reliable, then there are those who spend a little more to get a better finish.better quality and design.
I fly Hirobo because it does what it is advertised to do and I don't have to throw money at it just to keep it flying ( without crashes).
There will always be a call for the cheaper items as more people have to watch their money than those who don't. Some may just like the idea of having to play and upgrade as well as just fly. There will always be a market for both.

While I will agree that Hirobo's quality standards are above Aligns, I would hardly call my 600N junk. It flys just as good as my Evo, for a lot less cost when I crash it, which is why my Trex flys and my Evo gathers dust. If all that quality doesn't transfer to the sticks, what is the use?

As an afterthought, what upgrades? I fly a base model 600, not the pro, out of the box, and it rips. My 600E was the same. My 450 plastic ccpm flew like a rock, plastic frame, plastic head, and all.

Wow, the ground was closer than I thought.

For me, I like Align too. It costs less when you crash + you can find parts everywhere(very important). However, if you fly Align, you should fly with metal parts, Align plastic parts are not safe to fly. You should be careful. Never fly it close to yourself or others.

I am Hirobo fans. I like its quality, CNC parts. I currently fly T600E, Lepton & Freya Evo 90.

funky: off the top of my head, there's the swashplate, washout assembly, dampeners, bearings quickly wearing out, early voltage regulators, clutches, and im sure im missing stuff. Oh, lets not forget about the rotor blades with the exclusive align "blow up" feature. The 600E's that i've seen on the stock setup were dogs. I've seen enough to know that there is no way I will ever be an align beta-tester.

You know.. I started this thread asking about the new Hirobo.. NOT to Bash or talk about 600N's ... Fact.. 600N, you are going to see a ton of them for sale when all of the new 90s arrive. Fact... I own a 600N and an EVO50... My EVO costs more to repair, but needs less maintance, and overall is a better quality built machine. There is nothing wrong with a 600N. But when it comes to quality, I feel that Hirobo has Align beat in this category.

So now that I have that off my chest. Did any of you look at the cad drawings of the new 90.. I CAN'T wait to get my hands on one!!!

600N, EVO 50, Caliber 5, Beam 450, and comming soon TREX 9000 :)
