I started to assemble my A109 and the Hatori muffler on an O.S. .50 does not fit at all. Is there a muffler that fits closer to the engine that would fit inside the fuse without hacking the body? Other alternatives?

The pipe which comes with the Thunder Tiger Raptor SE is closer to the engine than my Hatori JK Special. It is approx 2 inches in width (from mounting flange to outside of pipe) and about 6 1/2 inches long. I don't know if that would be to long for your A109 or not. There is always the Century scale muffler which should work. http://www.centuryheli.com/searchre...le+muffler#1034
I have the .30 version on a Twinstar and it sits nice and close to the engine. BrentC
That can't be good!

Stay away from the century scale muffler, it is loud beyond belief !!
Gimme a while I'll find some pics of what I did to mine
I still have that header pipe and muffler, but don't think it'll fit your .50

is the century a bit restrictive as well, or does it run ok just noisy?

I ordered a Raptor 50 SE muffler. It looks like it may fit. Won't be here for a few days to see for sure.

jctpro Just curious if the Thunder Tiger pipe worked out with your A109 fuselage? I had to use that pipe when I placed my Raptor mechanics into an Ecureuil. BrentC
